My First Experience with Transformational Breath®

When I first tried Transformational Breath®, my mind was blown. I laughed, I cried, and honestly had no idea what was going on at the time… but I felt absolutely AMAZING afterwards. My body had released so much tension, my mind felt clear, and I felt lighter, more open (I wanted to hug everyone!), present, and deeply connected to myself. I was fascinated that my breath could be so powerful!

Curious about what had just happened, I began to learn more about the technique behind the experience – Transformational Breath®.

So What exactly is Transformational Breath®?

Transformational Breath® (often shortened to TBr) is a type of conscious connected breathing – a powerful breathwork technique that supports healing on every level of our being: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

It weaves together sound, movement, affirmations, and hands-on acupressure to expand the breath, release tension, clear emotional blockages, and restore your energy.

This is not just deep breathing – it’s a therapeutic, embodied practice that invites real transformation.

Therapy Without Talking

Known as ‘therapy without talking’, Transformational Breath® can guide you into deep, even altered states of consciousness using nothing but your breath. This breathwork practice helps bring your mind, body, and spirit back into balance, so you can return to the world feeling grounded, open, and fully alive.

How Transformational Breath® Works

In a TBr session, the aim is to use our diaphragm, our body’s primary breathing muscle, and allow the breath to flow in and out without pausing. The technique is gentle, continuous, and relaxed.

This isn’t Wim Hof-style breathing – there’s no pushing or forcing. The rhythm is steady and soft, yet deeply powerful. You may feel physical sensations, have an emotional release, or moments of profound clarity.
