Breathwork refers to various techniques and practices where we consciously control our breath to achieve specific physical, mental, emotional or spiritual benefits. The way we breathe affects the way we feel and ultimately the way we live. There are many different types of breathwork practices such as Transformational Breath (which I teach), Wim Hoff, Holotropic, Integrative, Biodynamic, Pranayama and many more in-between.

Breathwork can benefit your entire wellbeing (physical, mental, emotional & spiritual), and Transformational Breath in particular can help reduce physical tension & stress, aid sleep, increase energy, improve mental clarity & focus, release trapped emotions, increase intuition & creativity, plus increase feelings of connection, joy, peace & presence to name only a few!

We'll have a short coaching session, set an intention, then I'll carry out a Breathing Analysis; looking at how you're breathing - I can tell a lot about your personality based on the way you're breathing which is fascinating for both me and my clients. You'll then breathe actively for 45 mins followed by 15 mins of integration/ relaxation, with time for questions and sharing if you’d like to at the end.

A bundle of five sessions is ideal (minimum three), as this enables you to fully learn the technique and go deeper with your breath each time. In a similar way to therapy sessions, the more you can commit and put into each session, the more you’ll get out of it.

Coming together in a group is beautiful - we’ll connect at the start, perhaps pull a few oracle cards, then I will We'll have a short coaching session, set an intention, then I'll explain the technique/ demo the breath. We’ll then move our bodies before lying down on the mat, setting our own personal intention and breathing actively for 45 mins followed by 15 mins of integration/ relaxation at the end. We’ll bring the group to a close with any shares or questions you may have.

Simply yourself in comfy clothes (ideally loose around the waistband), your water bottle, journal and pen (in case you want to write things down post session) and anything else you might like to add to your session (e.g. special item, crystal, photo etc).

Unless your pregnancy is very delicate then yes it's safe to have a session. There are certain Acupressure points I would avoid during the session, however many of my friends have breathed throughout their entire pregnancies and found it so rewarding. Drop me an email if you’d like to chat about anything.

There are some contraindications with breathwork, so if you have any medical complications or concerns please get in touch and let's chat before you book your session.
